Norcal Waste Systems, in coordination with the Department of Public Works (DPW), handles collection of residential trash and “recyclables” for all of San Francisco. Depending on where you live, one of Norcal’s subsidiaries — either Sunset Scavenger Company or Golden Gate Disposal — is the company responsible for hauling away your refuse.
